Shade sail cleaning across Adelaide

Remove bird droppings and built-up dirt from your shade sails

Shade sails are usually one of the biggest and most noticeable features in an outdoor area.
You can pressure clean your pavers, clean your roof and gutters, and wash your outdoor furniture, but if your shade sail is covered in bird droppings or dark patches from months of weather exposure, it’s often the first thing people notice.
Cleaning can’t make an old shade sail look brand new, but it can improve its appearance and extend its lifespan.
Before we recommend cleaning, we check the fabric, stitching, and attachment points. Some sails clean up well, while others show signs of age, UV exposure or damage that might affect the results. We’ll let you know what to expect so you can decide.

We commonly clean sails dirtied with:

  • bird droppings
  • leaves and tree residue
  • dust and airborne contaminants
  • organic growth
  • general weather exposure.

Why clean your shade sail?

Shade sails cover some of the busiest, high-traffic areas. In schools and childcare centres, they protect children at play, at home they cover entertainment areas and swimming pools. In commercial and hospitality settings, they shade staff lunch areas and diners enjoying a leisurely brunch.

Because they’re overhead, it’s easy to miss how much dirt accumulates over time. A clean shade sail improves a property’s appearance and is more hygienic for the area below it.

Cleaning planned around your needs

Before we book a job, we’ll confirm how to access the area and whether anything under the sail needs moving or protection.

For schools and childcare centres, that may mean planning around weekends or holiday periods. For businesses, it may mean arranging a suitable time to access the area. For homes, we’ll let you know what preparation is needed before we arrive.

Child care, kindergarten and school cleaning experience

Shade sail cleaning forms part of our ongoing maintenance work at a number of Adelaide schools, alongside pressure cleaning, roof and gutter cleaning, concrete cleaning and bird waste removal.

When we work in busy education environments, we carefully plan around students, staff, and daily activities. We consider access, timing, and safety when booking a job. And of course, all our staff are police checked.

A schedule that suits your opening hours

For a café, that might mean cleaning before the morning rush. For a business or warehouse, we may need to work around opening hours or production runs.

Clear communication to help with resident or tenant notification

We’ll confirm which sails need cleaning and the access we require, so you can let your tenants know what to expect and when.

Shade Sail Cleaning FAQs

How much does shade sail cleaning cost?
The cost depends on the size, height, condition, and how easy it is to reach your sail. Cleaning a sail over a pool needs different planning than one above paving. Send us your suburb and a wide photo of the sail and surrounding area, and we’ll quote from that.
Will cleaning my shade sail damage the fabric?
Some manufacturers advise against pressure washers because they can damage the weave. Send us the fabric name or care guide if you have it. Tell us if you’ve noticed loose stitching or worn corners. We use soft brushes and gentle power washers, so we’ll choose the best cleaning method based on the fabric and the manufacturer’s guide.
Can you work around school hours, tenants or venue bookings?

Yes. We’ll work with you to schedule the best time for your property.  That might mean working at night, during school holidays or between venue bookings. We’ll discuss timing before we quote.

Can you remove mould, bird droppings and tree stains?
We can remove surface dirt and bird droppings. Older mould marks and tree stains can be harder to remove. After cleaning, some spots may look lighter but still show marks. We’ll talk with you about what results you can expect before we start.
Do you provide before and after photos?

Yes. We take photos before and after every job so you can see the difference for yourself. It’s also a great way to catch any maintenance issues before they become expensive headaches.
